Rapid Prototype of Archery Bows – Part 1

Part 1 – This is a brief video about rapid prototyping. During E 128 (Advanced Engineering Graphical Communication) at UC Berkeley, we learned how to model parts on the computer and then export them to the rapid prototype machines. In this video both a compound and recurve bow are created (note: the actual bows and the models created do not match because the originals belonged to a different group member). I wish I had a better macro camera to show more details on the smaller models. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy the video! =D *music used is from Yakitate!! Japan and Naruto*

Developing & Communicating Innovative Ideas Rapid Prototype

This is a rapid prototype of a speech for the University of Wisconsin Showcase Pecha Kucha. The purpose is to share the content I plan on presenting, see it myself to gain insight on what to change, and to gain feedback from others for improvement. Developing & Communicating Innovative Ideas – Tips, metaphors and stories to help you learn how to innovate with success. (with Darin Eich, Facilitator & Founder, InnovationLearning.org)

Arduino Rapid Prototype with LCD, Servo & Optical Sensor

Using an Arduino, a servo, an optical sensor and a 16×2 LCD screen to create a rapid prototype device which will track a cumulative count (a count occurs each time the opto is interrupted) and a servo to simulate usage. Check out www.nyccnc.com for the code and vendor links.

RPS – FM1.3, Rapid Prototyping System – Function Module 1

  • 12 devices with prototyping functions integrate with 3.3v microcontrollers
  • ANSI C programing modules included for all IC devices
  • Real Time Clock, triple axis accelerometer, temperature sensor, graphs module, stereo sytem
  • SD card, external Flash, navigation switch, user LEDs, user SMD prototyping area
  • micro SD card, connector to DemoQE and additonal SMD devices included

Product Description
The RPS FM1 is a hardware and software system that can be used to build structured applications using the 12 hardware modules and software as building blocks. Application programming interfaces (API’s) are provided in C for all hardware modules. These modules allow an engineer to quickly prototype a proof of concept application using known working software and hardware. The FM1.3 system differs from the FM1.1 system with the addition of the SMD option pack that has additional resistor, capacitor components plus a cable that can connect to the DemoQE board or legacy system. A micro SD card and USB reader is also included.
